Having problems with your 1992 Buick LeSabre ?

Power steering leak

\015 Smoke was coming out from behing my motor / power steering pump. When I checked te power steering fluid, my fluid was dry . I filled it and then cleaned all around the area to see where exactly the leak was but I couldnt find anything. Is replacing a power steering pump expensive and is it hard to do on your own? .. and if its a line, is that hard to fix ? 1992 buick lasabre\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-07-2021

Answers :

Replacing a line wouldnt be to hard, neither would replacing the whole pump, which is probably what you will have to do. If you checked it and it was dry then there has, more than likely been damage done to the pump. The biggest problem with your situation isn't really difficulty of the job but more the cost of replacement parts. I can't say for sure on your vehicle but pumps can get pretty pricey for some cars. Good luck on your fix.
