Like most items in the dash of the car, it is necessary to remove the front fascia cover to get at anything.
\015\012Any dashboard work is basically done in layers from the top down (outside in)
\015\012So you have to remove the front fascia (usually a series of a few hex head screws in lower areas, the spring clips holding on the rest)
\015\012Once that fascia is off, you may need to remove other components (like the radio etc) to be able to work your way up to it.
\015\012Keep track of where things go as you pull them out, to be able to reassemble it.
\015\012And take your time. A camera shot of the steps also helps.
1. lift upon the cover on the center arm console. 2. It starts here, pull UP on the cover/panel over the "parking break" releasing all the holding clips, pull the cover off/over the parking break and set to the side, 3. The next panel to come off is the one over the gear ship (you are now working your way up towards the clock), again gently release all the holding clips, 4. Remove the ashtray, 5. From the bottom of the clock/climate control/entertainment console pull away from the bottom going up, again gently releasing all the holdling clips.
