\01214. Using no sealer whatsoever, install the new head gasket(s) to the block. Clean, dry and lightly oil all head bolts threads. Install the heads and install the head bolts.
\012Tighten head bolts in sequence to 50 ft. lbs. (68Nm). Repeat the sequence retightening the bolts to a final torque of 105 ft. lbs. (143 Nm) and repeat the second step to ensure that all bolts are accurately torqued.
\012torgue chart from chilton (page 3-11) for your engine and year show:
\012main bearing bolts 85 ft lbs
\012rod bearing bolts 45 ft lbs
\012crankshaft damper bolts 135 ft lbs
\012flywheel bolts 55 lbs
