Having problems with your 1992 Ford Explorer ?
Hav changed water pump 2 yrs. ago, just changed water outlet because of leak, annd changed therm. temp still gets hot...no water in oil... what could this be?
Carefully feel the radiator directly after shutting the engine off it should be hot at the top and get generally a little cooler as you go down from side to side with no cold spots, if there is a cold spot the radiator is plugged and needs to be cleaned or replaced. Do you have a fan shroud? Check your thermostatic clutch on the fan blade does it wobble? Any of these can cause overheating. Hope this helps.
