Having problems with your 1992 Ford F350 ?

Im working on a 92 superduty. i replaced both alternator and voltage regulator seperately and i am still drawing 3.9 amps from the battery. i have isolated the problem to the solenoid alternator and battery. cannot find a short anywhere or where to turn next.

Not sure what you mean with this: "solenoid alternator "\012
\012If you installed a rebuilt unit, it may still have one leaking diode of the six which can cause this.\012Having a single bad diode won't stop the alternator from being able to recharge the battery but if the reverse resistance isn't near infinite, you will have the problem you describe. \012
\012Pulling and replugging one fuse after another and watching for a change in the current drawn should help you isolate the circuit still drawing current.\012If this didn't cause any change, I would have the alternator tested again.
