Having problems with your 1992 GMC Jimmy ?

I have replaced my fuel pump, filter, throttle position sensor, and relay on my 1992 jimmy. it runs but everytime it hits idle speed it cuts off. what could that be

\015 It startyed when i cranked it up one day and drove about 1 mile and it just cut off. you could set a few minutes and it would crank back up but wouldnt run far until it cut off again. i put a new fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle position sensor, and relay on it. It will run now as long as you keep your foot on the gas. If it hits idle speed it immediately cuts off\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-10-2018

Your cat may be stopped up. Had a 91 Jimmy that I replace F.P. and plugs, wires, distributor, still wouldn't start. Drilled hole in cat and it started.
It should have an idle air control valve which lets air into the intake to control the idle speed. The valve could be faulty, or dirty, or the throttle body could be dirty. The computer opens and closes the valve to regulate idle speed.
