Having problems with your 1992 Honda Accord ?

92 Honda Accord Ex, 210,000 miles, Car will Randomly Shut off when driving, Usually when its raining or when traveling up a hill, It will usually start up after leaving turning off key and leaving it for about 5 minutes. It happened to me on a 300 mile trip twice both times up a hill with about 1/4th tank of gas. Now recently it has happened when I was driving to fill the car up. But its at a full tank and has done it twice on flat ground. It does it without warning and doesn't crank right over

Answers :

Try changing the fuel filter.
I have a 92 also and just hit 200,000 miles. Same exact thing happned to me and after the second time it shut off on me I took it to the most amazing machanic and apparently this is very common in hondas. Its NOT your fuel pump (Thats the first thing I thought too). Its your distributor. Now that I had mine replaced i notice how much power i was lacking the whole time! Have yours replaced and you wont have any more days/nights on the side of the road.
