Having problems with your 1992 Volvo 740 ?

GAS GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY AND THE WARNING LIGHT IS ON

\015 GAS GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY AND THE WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME EVEN AFTER FILLING THE TANK. THIS STARTED AFTER CHANGING THE FUEL PUMP IN THE TANK. THOUGH I DID NOT CHANGE THE SENDING UNIT. THE CAR HAS ONLY ONE PUMP IN THE TANK.IS THE PROBLEM THE SENDING UNIT OR THE GAUGE ON THE CLUSTER?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-12-2018

Answers :

I suspect either the sensor was not reconnected (or may have been damaged) when you put eveything back together or the float has sunk. Either way, you will have to do the job over to fix it.
