Having problems with your 1993 Chevrolet Lumina ?

Hello, Can you help me? I have a 1993 Chevy Lumina that is overheating when I stop ex. long traffic lights, letting it run while I go to the mac machine etc... once I start driving again its fine. Can you give me suggestions? Coolant level is fine,and just replaced the sensor. Thank you

Change your thermistat. It is slowly dying. When the water heats up to a certain degree, your thermistat opens and keeps the water cooler, If your thermistat is weak, it will not open to let cool water in, therfore giving you a hot engine
Sounds like the cooling fan is not coming on .. could be a bad fan motor or relay .. If you can check it yourself you can try to power the fan up directly and see if that is the problem.
