Need to replace freeze plug on engine

\015 Need to replace freeze plug on 4.3 liter engine. Can I replace the plug by pulling the right tire off or do I need to jack truckup to get to freeze plug.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 02-12-2019

Answers :

Not only should you change them both on the right side but check and possibly need to replace on the left side. There are two plugs on each side and if one is leaking it is a strong indication that the others are also leaking or maybe ready to leak in a very short period of time.
Replace them all if possible with brass plugs and not steel.
Both... put some gasket sealer on the outer sides of the new freeze plug before you tap it in.
