Need Help with '93 Dodge Dakota Break Pad

\015 I'm trying to replace the brakes on my dad's '93 Dodge Dakota but there's a long metal pin on the break pad that I've never seen before. I can't figure out how the pin goes. It's getting in the way of the new brake pad squeaker. Do you know how it goes or preferrably have a picture of how it fits?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

Answers :

I think the pin u are reffering to is to replace the old pin on the caliper not on the pads itself.its more of a bushing to align the caliper correctly since they tend to wear out.
\015\012the only type of braking system that has an alignment pin for pads is on the heavy-duty series cummins deisel trucks mosltly 1 and 3 ton trucks
