Having problems with your 1993 Ford Econoline ?

1993 Ford Econoline Van E150 is overheating and I'm not sure what the problem is to fix it?

\015 It seems to do okay on the local drives, but once I get about 20-30 miles out, it begins to overheat very quickly. I don't know if it is an issue with the thermostat, or if I should look at replacing the radiator?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-01-2022

Answers :

If the radiator is 15 years old, replace it

The newer radiators are much better than years ago

Install a new thermostat,rad hoses,heater hose

Also new spark plugs, if over 3 years old & front O2
Sensors, if over 100,000 miles.

The Exhaust Converter, if over 15 years old

It all adds up to cause your overheating

Use Synthetic Oil in the engine

Change Power Steering & Trans Fluids

Hose down the A/C Condenser when the radiator is out
