Having problems with your 1993 Ford Explorer Limited ?
93 explorer stalls when started
\015 Have a 93 ford explorer with 117000 miles. Recently when i start it, it's fine, then idles low and stalls, shifting into reverse stalls it at this point too. When i give it some gas it seems fine to drive and doesnt stall out when stopped. I was told to clean the air control valve. Is that what i need to do? and if so is there any addition instruction i need to know (ie: replacing gaskets ect...) and where is it located?\015
Answers :
With 117000miles buy a new ics valve and replace, its easy 2 bolts 1 gasket 1 wire to unclip.when you have the part in hand look for it on the throttle body near the black intake hose from the air filter.
