Having problems with your 1993 Ford F150 SuperCab ?

How do I change the fuel pump on my 1993 F150? The factory line-ends have a pressure crimped ends, how do I successfully remove and replace these ends? I have a fuel pump and new tank, and I have also investigated the steps at tank re/re and all installation procedures but I am stumped at the fuel line ends. Is there a way to get around the pressure crimped ends?

Answers :

The ends you refer to are held in place by a retianer spring. to remove it takes a special tool. good news is these are usualy made of plastic and arent pricy.they fit over the line and slide into the large end.push the two parts of the line together and work the tool into place.after the tool is in place pull the lines apart.if it does not seperate clean the large end which tool slide w/WD-40 and try again. this can take a while if the truck has been in dirty conditions
