Having problems with your 1993 Ford Mustang ?

V8 motor viabrates when revving

\015 !993 Ford Falcon v8 Windsor motor. I suspect I have a harmonic balancer problem. What do I need to remove to get access to it. A mechanic who uses similar motor in racing car suggests this is the problem and if I bring the Harmonic balancer in he can tell me if the weights have slipped or whatever.\015\012\015\012I think I can get to it by removing the radiator. What else has to come off and do I need to get access from underneath\015\012\015\012Also, is there a site I can download a manual from?\015\012\015\012Thanks\015\012\015\012Dave\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-11-2018

Answers :

Access and removal can be done from underneath. Remove all the belts. Remove the bolt from the center of the balancer. Then you will need to get a puller to remove the balancer. They can be a little pricey to purchase, but you need it. You can do it from the top, but you probably would need to remove the fan from the water pump to get enough room to work. It's your option.
