Having problems with your 1993 Ford Probe ?

Dash lights and parkings lights out. Everything else works. Fuse is good. Circuit relay makes noise when parking light switch is turned on. Is it a short or switch or something else?

Hello aagormley,
\015\012I agree with jimscott531. Make sure that all of your running lights, blinkers are all the same type bulbs. Now, as far as the relay, there is a way to test it. If you have a fuse tester, (or can get one; they are fairly cheap and often come with fuses too);
\015\0121. Disconnect battery
\015\0122. Pull the relay suspected to be faulty (a relay either work, or doesn't)
\015\0122. Touch the prongs on the fuse tester, to two prongs on the relay until you see the light on the tester come on. If no light comes on the relay is no good.
\015\012TIP: When it comes to checking fuse and relays, you cannot always tell by looking at them whether they are bad. Though in most cases of a blown fuse, it is obvious and visible. There are more times than not, when a fuse is weak, which causes a faulty connection. These instances are often the cause of serious shortages in wiring and parts. It is recommended that when performing a full tune up on a vehicle that all fuses and relays, wiring, as well as bulbs are tested and made sure to be good.
\015\012I hope this information is useful and you get your lights working again.
