92 honda prelude automatic gearbox problems f22a1

\015 My car works when i first start up. but after a few minutes you can hear this high pitch whistle sound, then it starts to have trouble changing gear, instead it either goes into neutral or stays in first or second gear. but if i turn the car of then back on it fixes itself for a few minutes then has the same problem again. i think its an electrical problem but im not sure.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

Hi there. The very first thing you need to do is check the autobox oil level. If it's low, you need to add the correct specification of oil to the right level and check how the autobox works. If the problem still exists, have a Honda Dealer or Transmission Specialist is a 'Stall Test'. This effectively checks the condition of the clutches in the gearbox. At the same time, have the specialist check the Autobox ECU for fault code identification, it might identify a faulty solenoid which might account for the irratic behavour of the autobox. Hope this helps, Scottech,
92?? check for a thin rubber pipe that runs to the gearbox from the inlet manifold
