Having problems with your 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country ?

1993 Jeep cherokee sport, engine will not start.

\015 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0 straight 6, multi port fuel injection.\015\012\015\012Vehicle was dying when accelerator was depressed or shortly thereafter. replaced cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Replaced fuel filter problem remained. Replaced fuel pump via chiltons manual guidelines. Relieved fuel pressure by depressing nipple on the test port, and removing gas cap. replaced fuel pump. Engined cranked but will not start. checked fuel lines no gas getting to engine. Blew through the fuel lines to check for obstruction. Gas came out other end through the new fuel filter, no obstruction in the line. Used starting fluid to see if we could get the engine to assist pump to get some fuel through the lines but no dice. I understand that after you replaced the fuel pump, fuel doesn't get to the engine anymore. Do you hear any winding motor sound whenever you set the car key to pre-ignition? if not, make sure that the fuel pump's fuse and relay is good. if the relay and fuse is alright, try to take the pump out and test it out by giving it 12 volts. See if the pump motor will work.
