Having problems with your 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

Front passenger door won't shut, i tried rotating the latch and it moves to the position but the it wont latch what do i do?

If the door hinges are in good condition and the latch still aligns properly with the striker, good chance that the latch mechanism has broken internally. It's not a difficult repair. You can get a replacement at most local scrapyards for around $10.00 and you only need to change the mechanism, not the lock.
Just remove the inner door panel, disconnect the control rods and remove the fasteners for the latch.
Reverse procedure to install.
Before going out and replacing it, spray the latch with wd40 or other solvent just to make sure it isn't internally binding. If it works, then don't bother with the replacement.
