Having problems with your 1993 Pontiac Grand Am ?

My pontiac grand am, 93, usually runs great...but a few days ago it wouldn't start, and the engine smelled of gas bad. the plugs were soaked in gas. it gets spark, and trys to turn over, but gets completely flooded out. what would be causing this?

It is most likely that your choke/carburator is dirty Get an aerosol can of choke/carburator cleaner at an auto parts store, remove the air cleaner and spray some cleaner into the air intake, let it sit for two minutes to dissolve some of the crud and then try to start it. Repeat until it starts. J.
