1993 Saturn SC1 Seatbelt Motor Killing Car Battery

\015 I had a Duralast Battery it was like the best one autozone sold at the time. Turns out I had an 8 year warranty so even though my battery died on me I was able to replace the battery free. Here is the problem. '93 SC1's come with the motorized seatbelt that automatically runs the seatbelt on a track so that the seatbelt comes over you automatically. The thing is that this car is old and that seatbelt system broke inside the door probably. So now everytime I open my door or shut off my car the computer in the car is telling the seatbelt to run up or down the track as if I'm getting in or out of my car. Nothing is working anymore the seatbelt fortunately got stuck in the back position so I just unhook and hook it now but the motor keeps running and running after I shut off my car the seatbelt motor goes through about 5 cycles of trying to get the seatbelt to move. After these trials it finally stops trying but the motor is being driven by the battery alone when the car is off so over time it just drains the battery. I looked for a fuse but couldn't see one under the hood or on the side panel near where the passengers left knee would be when sitting in the front seat. Anyone help me with this?\015\012\015\012gerry\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-10-2021

Answers :

The motor I believe, is located in the pillar between the doors. Remove the trim and pull the plug on the motor itself.
Disconnect is not inside door,in plastic panel behind door(on a 4 door between the two doors)looks almost like a window motor
