Having problems with your 1993 Suzuki Swift ?

Won't fire when cold but is ood when its warmed up

\015 It seems to not fire when it is cold and sits for a while. It started good all summer and fall but now in the minus it takes a while then it will just catch and go. any ideas\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-10-2021

Sounds like the cold start sensor has failed. it is on the left side if the throttle body just below the air filter body(right side if you are stood at front of car looking into engine compartment)has a green connector.unplug this connector and carefully shorrt it with a piece of electrical wire i.e.connect the 2 wires together.the car should start normally when cold-this shold prove that the sensor has failed in which case it needs to be replaced.if this does not work it is not the sensor.
\015\012do not leave the wire shorting the connector as your car will run with a higher tick over and have less engine braking and there is a danger of short circuit which is potentially dangerous
