Having problems with your 1993 Toyota Previa ?

Speedometer repair the speedometer/odometer in my 93 Toyota Previa has stopped working. I cannot find a "speed sensor" on the internet for it, yet several car part places here in town tell me that is what I need. I have heard prices rangeing from 153 to 204. Does it NEED a speed sensor or just a cable? Could it just be a fuse?

Answers :

Well a cable is any cheeper if it has one.
\015\012to find out. you need to find that fuse you mentioned.
\015\012if you have one replace it. it wont cost much.
\015\012if thats your fix then all is well.
\015\012you have no fuse it's a cable. and that need to be replaced. and it's a pain.
\015\012if it's not the fuse but a sensore the price sounds high but about right. (****you can always go to a junker for one****extra cheep) finding it is easy. it will be the on the trany close to the out put shafts. remove the old one with a socet and screw driver to pry it out and replace.
