Having problems with your 1994 Buick Park Avenue ?

Access to fuel pump

\015 How to access the fuel pump. Is there an access panel or do I have to drop the tank? The car will just quit for no reason. Wait a bit and it may or may not start and run fine. This has been going on for a couple weeks and I'm thinking my fuel pump is starting to fail. I am going to investigate but I thought it would help if I new for sure if/where there is an access panel without having to drop the tank. I'm hoping it may be just a loose wire or something since it sure runs good when it runs. \015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 24-09-2018

Answers :

It sounds like a wiring or fuse problem to me also. Unfortunately, there is no panel, the fuel tank will have to come down, BUT before you do that have the fuel pressure checked. GM vehicles are very picky and will not run right if the pressure is off by just a little.
THERE IS NO ACCESS PANEL IN THIS CAR, A FEW JAPANESE CARS HAVE PANELS AND JEEPS BUT NOT BUICK, U MUST DROP THE FUEL TANK OUT TO CHANGE THE PUMP
