Having problems with your 1994 Buick Skylark ?

The gear selection lamp, inside the instrument panel, does not reflect the actual gear I am in. It jumps around, depending upon which gear I select. It is rarely accurate. I know what gear I am in because I am accustomed to steering column automactic selection. I have to play with the gear selector to get my reverse lights to show. If the instrument panel shows reverse, this is the only time the reverse lamps will come on. Is there an adjustment or parts swap that will fix this? Best rega

Answers :

Replace your Transmission Range Sensor (Also called "Neutral Safety Switch") It is located on top of the transmission housing under the shift lever where the shift cable hooks up.
