Having problems with your 1994 Ford F150 Styleside Supercab ?

Tranny just started acting up

\015 It's a '94 F150 xlt with the 4.9 or 300 cube six cylinder...\015\012Just started to notice at 40-50 mph that the transmission feels like it's slipping, sometimes feels like downshifting mostly when going over bumps in the road. fluid seems to have tiny bubbles when looking at the dipstick making it difficult to get an accurate reading...\015\012What do you think? Filter, fluid, modulator, pump??\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Answers :

First thing I would try is a fluid change and filter. you didn't say but I'm guessing it is a elect. shift OD right? called an 4E.
\015\012Makes me think that with the bubbles in the oil it might be slipping or low on fluid . Do you check it after you start it but not drive it? If not try that.
\015\012If it is low on fluid it has to have a leak as it don't use fluid. Check all the lines fron the trans to the radiator for leaks then check the radiator for oil in the coolant.
\015\012Hope this helps
