Having problems with your 1994 Ford Taurus ?

Drive 5 miles and starts up fine, drive 30 miles and wont restart

\015 I have a 1992 ford taurus, 3.0, 6 cylinder, that starts up just fine. If I drive a short distance and turn the car off the car will start up fine. but if I drive the car a little further, like 20 miles or so, the car will not start up right away. I have to wait about an hour or two before it starts up again. Then it will start up just fine again.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-04-2021

Answers :

Sounds like a fuel pump overheating. Drive until it wont start then check the fuel pressure. If no gauge when it wont start try some starting fluid. You should also check your fuel pump relay.
Its your crank position sensor i have a 94 taurus sho that had the same problem and i didnt think it was that hard to replace took about 2 hour and i was driving .
