Having problems with your 1994 Honda Accord ?

My automatic 1994 honda accord goes in gear but doesnt drive. look at details

\015 It all started yesterday when my car started acting up, every time i would stop and try driving again the car would get up to about 4 RPM's before it would even move. than i got it home and tried driving it and now it wont even drive. it runs perfectly fine it just doesn't go...about a week ago i got my car radio stolen but in order for them to get the deck out they had to pull on the shifter realer hard and they jammed it back. its been kinda rough to pull it down into drive. does that have anything to do with my problem.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-05-2020

Answers :

If the jerks that stole your radio forced the shifter back, the linkage to the transmission (cable) is probably screwed up, or the shifter too. I assume you had no trouble before this incident. Also check the trans fluid level (warm up car and check according to instructions in your owners manual), although I'm sure it's screwed up from the morons that stole the radio. sounds like a job for the dealer or a body shop. the cable is probably out of sync w/ the shifter. Do park or reverse, or low gears work?. You may be able to save a few $ by checking the auto junkyard for the parts you need. good luck! countrycurt0
