Having problems with your 1994 Honda Accord ?

Vehicle Speed Sensor replacement

\015 I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX two door with a 2.2 VTEX auto matic trans \015\012\015\012I have problems with the speedometer, it works sometimes and sometimes it does not. It bounces between 0 and the speed I am driving. I purchased a Vehicle speed sensor (VSS). The problem is I cannot locate the sensor on the engine. It appears from the crude drawing I have in the Honda manual (from Honda) that it is located near the distributer on the front side of the engine.\015\012\015\012The VSS appears to be attached by two small bolts and a three pin electric plug. It also has a drive pin (drive link) \015\012\015\012Where is the VSS located. \015\012\015\012I cannot replce it if I cannot find it.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

Answers :

Yea. its directly under your air filter hose. in the middle of it. on the transmission. easy to replace. ive done mine twice. easy to spot. it has 3 screws in a triangle. but you undo the little bolts
\015\012The SPEED Sensor on your Honda accord 94.
\015\012is located on the Transmission.
\015\012About Under the Thermostat housing ( if you follow the lower radiator hose from radiator to engine) you will found the thermostat housing.
\015\012Under the thermostat housing you will see on the trans, the sensor is the only one on this side of the trans,
\015\012I hope this help on your problem.
\015\012Thank you for use fixya...
