Out of Time

Answers :

To reset the timeing tou will have to have the vehicle running. you will need to get a timming light. loosen your distributer so you can turn it but DO NOT turn it until your are ready. on the timming light you will have a camp running on one wire and a gun with a light in it. hook the clamp up to your number one spark plug wire. On your vehicle under the hood it should say on a sticker what the timing should be set at EX: 1.2.3.4.
\015\012have someone start the car and point the timming light towards the crank. there should be some marking on it that you will be able to see with the timming light. there should be a needle pointing at one of the numbers. after you find what number your vehicle is supposed to be set turn the distributor one way or the other until the needle points to the setting you need. after that hold the distributor in place and tighten it back up. than see what you have from there.
