Having problems with your 1994 Toyota 4Runner ?

The accelerator cable on my 94 toyota 4 runner SR5 v6 is frayed. How do you install a new one?

Disconnect cable connection at throttle body by loosening retaining nut and removing cable from attachment. follow cable to firewall and disconnect cable from fire wall a rubber grommet may need to be removed with a flat blade screwdriver and gentle pressure. under dashboard, at top of gas pedal,cable is attached by clip,disconnect. and pull cable through and into vehicle. reasembly is reverse. when connecting to throttle assembly make sure there is about one quarter inch slack in cable.
