Changing the starter in a 1994 Toyota Corrolla

\015 I have located the starter, which is not easily accessible and would like to know if it is best to work from the top of the motor or underneath the car or both. Disconnection of the battery cable and disconnection of the solenoid wires are not really apparent in the Haynes manual I have. Can you enlighten me? Thanks\015\012Doug\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

Answers :

You need to remove one bolt from the top and the other from the bottem. also the wires are removed from the bottem. most likey the starter if factory is still good the starter contacts wear out they are under the cover on the back of the starter.
