Having problems with your 1995 Buick LeSabre ?

WHEN I'M GOING APPROX. 40 MPH, THE CAR STARTS TO SHAKE? THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS OK. I WAS TOLD I NEEDED NEW BACK STRUTS, WOULD THAT BE THE PROBLEM?

Answers :

No,it sounds like something is out of balance, remember start with the cheapest fix like getting your tires balanced and rotated also check for bent wheels or broken belts in your tires. If the shaking changes when you brake then you may have hot spots on your rotors, have them turned or replaced, remember to replace pads or you will have the same problem down the road.
Could very well be a bad tire or balancing issue but yes it could also be a (front) strut problem have tires checked and balanced first its cheaper
