Replace spark plugs in 95 buick riviera

\015 I don't know where they are and how to get to the rear spark plugs\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

It's common to undo the top front motor mounts and rocking the engine forward to get enough room to get to the back spark plugs.\015\012\015\012Leave the car in park, undo the motor mounts and push the car forward with a friend to keep an eye on the engine. When the engine moves far enough forward just use the parking breaks to hold the car and place a block of wood to the rear tires to keep it from moving back.\015\012\015\012Once done just rock the car back so you can reconnect the motor mounts and use lock tight on the bolts.\015\012\015\012Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
The head on the back side of the engine is the same as the front side. The plug placement is the same. It helps to remove the coils to gain access to the rear plugs. Other than that an assortment of extensions, a flex handle ratchet, a mirror and a lot of patience. I think the dealer puts the car on a lift and reaches them from below. I use Auto-lite platinum plugs so I don't have do it so often on my 3.1L GM. The first time I changed plugs I wished I had hired the back three done.
