Having problems with your 1995 Chevrolet Beretta ?

My friend's '95 Chevy Beretta just died as he was driving though a fast food drive-thru. He said he heard/felt a couple bumps and then it just died. He says when he tries to crank it, there is absolutely NO power at all. I told him he might have shredded a belt. Do you have any suggestions?
