Replacing an ignition switch in a 95 Chevy S-10
\015 We are trying to replace the ignition switch in my truck to save us some money. We already have the switch but someone said that we would have to disable the air bag, is this correct? If so, how do we do it and if the battery is not connected, do we still need to?\015
Answers :
Yes is the first answer. If the battery has been disconnected over ~10 minutes, then no is the second answer. Don't smack yourself in the face when you pull the steering wheel--leave the retaining nut on a few turns. Mark the shaft and wheel so that the two come back together properly.
HI, NO JUST TAKE THE SCREWS OUT PULL THE HORN OUT UNPLUG THE AIRBAG ALONG WITH THE HORN.
