Having problems with your 1995 Chevrolet Caprice ?

95 Chevy Caprice won't start unless I disconnect the fuel line.

\015 My 95 Caprice won't start, the engine just turns over. \302\240I was trying to narrow down the problem. \302\240I recently replaced the gas filter. \302\240I verified it was on correctly. \302\240To check the fuel pump, I disconnected the fuel line by the filter and turned the engine over, and it started right up. \302\240I reconnected the fuel line, drove the car around, it was fine, and started up after that. \302\240The next day, it wouldn't start again. \302\240I tried the same thing with the fuel line, and it started again. \302\240What could be causing this, a failing fuel pump?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 13-08-2018

Fuel pump can also cause this problem, You find out if fuel pump is faulty by energising directly fuel pump, and checking fuel pressure.

Check also the fuel line, starting from gas tank, often oxide and dirt from tank can obstruct the hose. Disconnect fuel hose and blow air into it .

Check also air filter and air intake.
