Having problems with your 1995 Chevrolet Lumina ?

Car stuttering under accelleration

\015 My car is fine with a full tank of gas. I run into problems when I'm at about half a tank and below. While accelerating, if I push the gas pedal down past a certain threshold the car will "stutter" very hard then will give greatly reduced power. I'm thinking this is something to do with the fuel system, but I'd like to be sure before spending money.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

It sounds like the pump is losing prime could be a hole in the pickup tube or the pump may just be strugling to keep up.i have herd of people installing a fuel pump booster to up the amperage getting to the pump to fix a issue like this, i would try replacing the fuel filter and run real good fuel system cleaner through it first.
there are other things that could cause this to like a ignition module or coil packs.but always start with the simple stuff first you could spend a small fortune replacing parts and still not fix it. sorry for writing a book just hope it helps.
