Having problems with your 1995 Eagle Summit ?

How can i tell what kind of clutch i have?

\015 My mechanic tells me if i have trouble shifting my manual transmission, the clutch is probably going. \302\240if it isn't an "hydraulic" clutch it may be "adjusted" and therefore delay or avoid replacement. \302\240but he says he needs to take it apart to tell if it can be "adjusted". \302\240can't i tell by using the vin # or finding a manual?? \302\240thanks for your time and attention to my request!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-10-2019

Answers :

Your clutch is self adjusting hydraulic design, when the clutch plate gets really worn the adjustment availiable runs out and the trans gets hard to shift, a clutch plate is like a brake shoe, the friction material wears off over time.
