Having problems with your 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee. My engine RPM's drop to zero for a few seconds while driving. Vehicle continues to run but loses power. Occassionally I experience a NO START with rapid turn over.

Could be the beginning of a crank position sensor going bad or even an ignition switch. You need to check for sensor output while its not starting...same for ignition switch. Sounds a lot like a bad connection somewhere. Harness wiggle test, and careful probing is the only way to find it. I won't even try to guess further than I already did ...I could write all day and still be wrong. Check harnesses up near the battery too.
