Having problems with your 1995 Nissan Altima ?

2000 Quest seems to sporadically (six times over

\015 2000 Quest seems to sporadically (six times over the last two years) come out of gear whiles driving and continually try to re-engage causing the vehicle to lose power and ****/surge as if it is trying to rapidly change gears. We had the timing belt changed about 2.5 years ago after which the spedometer quits working sporadically causing the crusie control when engaged to do a similar action. Simply turing the cruise off until the speedometer reengages solves that. AAmco did not feel it was a transmission issue, and Firestone said the timing belt would not effect the speedometer nor cause that kind of engine surge. What could it be?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-07-2019
