It really sounds like the computer in your truck is failing from the heat. I would try replacing the ignition switch if all dash lights go off completely when the truck won't start. If the lights come on when the truck dies and won't start, replace your computer.
First check voltage at spark plugs and coil packs. If there is no voltage at spark plugs or coil pack then its the problem. But if both spark plugs and coil pack shows 12 volt, then get the starter checked. It can also be the issue.Check voltage at starter terminals and starter solenoid, also inspect voltage at battery, there should be 12 volts, if no voltage at starter or battery terminals, then its the issue. But if voltage checks ok then ignition switch can be the problem, it has to be tested.\015\012Click this link below for ignition switch wiring diagram and checking:----\015\012http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/08/ignition-switch-wiring-for-toyota-t100.html\015\012----------\015\012This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
