Having problems with your 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier ?

Cruise Control not holding.

\015 When Driving down the highway in my 96 Cavalier (2.2), and I set the cruise control, I can feel it trying to hold it at a certain speed but it isn't able to. I checked for an obvious vacume leak but it isn't the same setup as some of the older cars I've had.\015\012\015\012\015\012Thanks,\015\012Nick\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Answers :

If the wiring is good and it is trying to engage then the cruise control module is getting the signal to engage.I would try a used cruise control module. You can get one from a salvage yard.Good luck.
