Answers :

I have a 2002 Lesabre with the 3.8 engine so this may not apply but will share my experience as I just went through it this week. I had a random misfire code P0300. I replaced the plugs and wires with no change. This engine has three separate coil units. I bought one unit and tried it in all three spots. Again no change. Below the three coils is the Ignition Control Module. It cost about $140. Replaced it and the misfiring went away.
The code is a mis-fire code. This code does not tell you which cylinder is mis-firing.
