Having problems with your 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ?

I just bought a brand new battery for my 1996 Monte Carlo! I crunk the car and took both of the battery post off and the car stayed on! I put the battery in Friday night and drove it all day Saturday! I didnt drive it Sunday at all. So Monday morning I try to crank it, and it is completely dead! Whats the problem?

Yes, a car will keep running with the battery disconnected, although that is not a good idea with all the sensitive electronic circuits on cars today. You can fry something expensive quickly. It will keep running because all power to run everything is supplied by the alternator, not the battery.
Have the battery charged up again, and see what happens. I don't know why it went dead, unless you have a charging problem. Does the battery/alternator light go off after the car is started?
