Having problems with your 1996 Chrysler Cirrus ?

My 96 chrysler cirrus lx squeaks loud and the steering wheel jerks when turning right or left my cousin and i checked it and while he was turning the steering wheel side to side i could see the pressure hose jumping up and down and i could hear the noise but i couldn't hear where it was coming from, i replaced the power steering pump on it thinking that'd do it ,but no the problem still there please help!

Please the bores in the alternator and the engine has chopped up. Take a close look while someone turns the steering wheel for you.

Also it could be the steering rack bushing that has worn.

If it is making a squaling noise, then check the belt pulley assembly. The belt may be worn or not in tension, or the pulley seized when yoy turn steering wheel.
That will cause pump not to run and pressure going up and down.
