Having problems with your 1996 Ford Bronco ?

The water leak appears to be coming from some where just above the oil pan[midway] on the right side of the engine. Can not seem to locate its exact origin, I spoke to a mechanic by phone and he said maybe a freeze plug rusted out?

Answers :

Yes, thats what it is. if one is leaking, the rest may not be far behind. usually caused by not replacing the coolant, or if it gets weak, rust eats them from the inside, the freeze plugs are first to go, then the timing cover.
It's either the core plug or a head gasket leak. IF core plug, have to knock it out and replace with expandable plug if there is access.
