Having problems with your 1996 Ford Explorer ?

Could it be wires crossing? please advise this lady

Hi there. You may have a poor connection between the battery and the cables. Simply cleaning the connectors attached to the battery and the battery posts may solve your problem. To do this yourself you will need a adjustable wrench and some emery cloth. Loosen the bolt and wiggle the cable clamp off of the battery. THen clean the post the inside of the clamp up real well with the emery cloth. Finally reconnect and tighten down the bolt.
