Having problems with your 1996 Geo Metro ?

What is a cheap way to reduce valve knocking in my 96 metro without tearing down

Answers :

Try heavier weight oil. Whatever weight you're currently using, go up to the next weight. It may help a little.
Their is no way without wearing something else out. You could use thicker oil but it may not do anything since valves dont knock, main rod bearing do. If your valves are noisy they get adjusted. If the timing chain is stretched and and the tensioner is shot it will make alot of noise also.
