Having problems with your 1996 Honda Accord ?

96 Accord Ex overheating

\015 QuestionsA. would a fan relay being bad cause a car to give a reading of overheating.b. car fans went bad ^^, i have changed thermostat radiator which was leaking/beat/ hooked up a 600CFM ( is that sufficient??) electronic fan properly and works fine. Car is idling fine for awhile then i goto drive and it starts to read overheated. I will turn the car off then the ignition back in on position and it will read considerably (almost 3/4 up to slightly less than 1/2 up) in a matter of minutes. I am planning on possibly adding another fan ( maybe 1000cfm this time ).\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-01-2019

Answers :

Based on the info you provided, this appears to be a classic radiator problem. The tiny coolant passages in the radiator are clogged, and are not allowing coolant to flow thru to let the fans do their work.
